Yuck!

It's nasty here today, which is why I'm sitting in air-conditioned comfort surfing the internet instead of out riding somewhere.

Yuck!

I'd like to "rub" you a bit... but today's weather here was rain. This past week it has been unusually cool also -- thus not much riding going on here.

100+ degrees is tough to take man... so I here ya.

Yuck!

Mostly rain, and thunder boomers, some blue spots and 2 maybe 3 times a very round bright light, but not for very long, so I didn't get very scared.

Yuck!

It didn't rain here today, first day in over a week. It was great, barely 70 degrees all day in the sun. In the shade it was almost cool with quite a breeze blowing.I was working in the backyard putting down interlock and had my shirt off for a while because I was to warm. Im burnt redder than a lobster now, I was to busy to think of sunscreen. I still have some left to finish up tomorrow or later in the week.

Yuck!

We've been breaking high temperature records over here for the last 2 - 3 weeks. It's been miserable. I cleaned my saddlebags and put them back on the bike this evening after 7 pm. I was soaking wet when I finished and retreated to the shower and AC. No ride for me this evening.

Hey CJ do you suppose that it is the year long riding season or the oven baked temps like that that cause your tires to wear out faster?

Yuck!

I'm feeling your pain! In the month of June it rained 21 days here in MA, and July has started out with more of the same.

Looks like if you want to ride this year you have to be willing to get wet.

Yuck!

I just got home and it's 113 degrees. If you've never had to do it, you can't imagine what that's like.

I leave work and head to the freeway on-ramp, they have erected those damn sound walls all along the freeway, and they are light colored concrete and they reflect the heat like a solar furnace. Plus, they eliminate the possibility of dissipating any of the cumulative heat generated in the freeway area. I'd guess it was 120-125 degrees in the freeway corridor.

After about a mile, I start to feel like I am seconds away from igniting into flames. Fortunately, I only have about 3 miles of freeway before I exit onto surface streets for the rest of the trip home. That 3 miles of freeway saves me 15 minutes of time over surface streets, so I guess it was worth it.

The ride to work at 06:30 this morning was 85 degrees and very pleasant. This is the price we pay for being able to ride all year round.

I'm ready for October to get here, only 2 1/2 months left to roast .

Hmm, is this the same CJ who taunts us northerners in winter claiming to be able to ride year round? I would rather wait out a long winter than deal with temps like he is experiencing now. I've ridden in 115 degree heat and it is brutal.

I just did an 80 mile round trip to a friends house for dinner. 60 degrees outside now. It was a beautiful bug free evening on his deck.

Sorry CJ, and the rest of you southerners, I do feel for ya.

I can ride year round, just not as much during June-August.
