Kaygee, that's not a bad idea. I like the look of the apes, but the real reason I'm more determined to change something is the stock bars are too close. I have them adjusted as far "up" as they can, but I'm left still wanting.

And you're right! If I'm going to chop a pair of bars anyhow, I could cut a wedge out of my stock bars and re-weld to create the extra bend. Interesting . . . .
OR, a set of risers, although coming back an inch, may buy me enough room to push the stock bars forward more. ????

dmyers,
Those look awesome. What would that cost?
Would it be difficult to do something like this? Something a little different? The Vaquero bars are 1.25 in the clamping area though

There's a lot of curvature in these bars

dmyers, I'm curious also what you would charge for a set of bars similar to those that roaring toys makes?

jestephens... have you had the top clamp of the risers off? So the bar diameter in the clamp area is 1.25"? I was wondering abut that but haven't taken the top clamp off to get a good view of the bar in that area.

It is my understanding that the bars are 1 1/4"
I need to know before I make a set. I thought about doing a set up over the weekend. I have to turn out a 1" pipe for the clamp and grip areas on my nomad. That is way more work.
all the lines are stock on My bars I just rerouted everything.
If your interested in a set PM me.

thanks
being 1 1/4" through the clamps still saves a ton of work.
