Screw Loose!

While taking off my stock exhaust off I found the goat belly hanging by only one bolt. The one in the top middle was gone.
I have found a couple of other screws/bolts only finger tight.

If you do nothing else this winter, go through you bike and check every screw/bolt and fastener you can find. There is a "Bolts, Nuts and Fastener Tightness Inspection" section in the manual.

Screw Loose!

I found that the bolts that hold my hardbags on are always coming loose every couple days, and the two bolts that hold the seat on as well. I removed the seat bolts and ride without them now, and loctite the hardbags on. Now more problems since then.

Screw Loose!

I nearly lost the chrome cover on my left rear floorboard when the bike was but a week old. Went to the dealer to get another bolt that had completley fallen out. Naturally, none in stock. They ordered one that never came in. I ordered a couple from Bike Bandit and had them in less than a week. The (then) service manager told me that I need to periodically check the tightness of the nuts and bolts. I told him that I had planned to do as per the maintenance schedule. I didn't think it was necessary the first week.

Screw Loose!

Guess the vibration has something to do with bolts and screws not staying tight. I have good intentions of checking but for some reason I never get around to it. Guess when something falls off I will.
