Looking for good boot vendor

I am trying to find a place that has good riding boots that don't say HD on them. I have not had much luck finding any that carry other brands. Can anyone give me a suggestion?

I don't personally own these, but I have several friends that ride that wear Red Wing motorcycle boots and really love them. They say they're comfortable and break in really quickly. I think I'm going to get a pair this summer. Plus, they're made in America so they're practically a collector's item!

I like my Cruiser Works boots. Comfy and easy on easy off. Wife likes here's also. Pretty much water proof also.

OP,

I just wear my work boots. A good fit and comfy. If weather is an issue, I am getting some pull overs for rain. Just find a good leather pair and don't worry.

I bought a pair of HD boots. They don't say HD all over them, they are waterproof, not much of a heel and very comfy. They are the FXRG's. Got them on closeout at the dealer.

I have to wear safety toe boots for work, and have trouble finding comfortable boots in a "wide-waterski" size. Magnum boots have met that goal. I have purchased these through local and internet suppliers for several years and get good wear/comfort out of them. Magnum has similar styles with & without composite safety toe, waterproof, side zip. The last pair I bought a few weeks ago went for $91 + tax

Believe it or not, I've always bought my leather jackets and boots at the Army-Navy Store. Always worked for me.

I bought a pair of Red Wing lace up motorcycle boots (#971)several months back. They were a special order which I had to pay for up front. It took three months for them to arrive and then I discovered they were "Made in China"(marking was on the tongue of the boot). They are comfortable, but heavy. The extra height of the steel toe does not allow the boot to fit under the rear brake pedal. I'm not sure I would buy another pair. They are pretty spendy for a Chinese product.

Well, I guess I can add Red Wing boots to the list of things no longer made in America! How depressing...

I don't know if it all their boots are made in China, but model (971) is made in China. It seems to be a good boot, just very heavy. I'm on a concrete floor all day, so comfort is a must. It is just a sign of the global economy.
