Badlands ride video

Video isn't my specialty and is fairly frustrating, so I've put it off.

Today I made one of the Badlands ride. I was riding with my left hand doing the throttle and steering, while holding the camera in my hand, so it was hard to get clips that weren't totally jumping around.

I wasn't able to use my handlebar mount because I didn't find a way to kill the reflections in time. When it is mounted, it doesn't jump around as much.

Here's a youtube link

I'm impressed that you were able to ride left handed. I've never tried it. All things considering, the video isn't too bad. The Badlands look like an amazing (and hot) ride. Well done Dan.

Nice video Dan; if you installed a cruise control just imagine what you could do with your camera.

Nice video, takes me back to a great ride, but seems like if you can run the throttle with the left hand, should also be able to keep the right hand on it and use the left hand on camera. Right?

I can do the throttle with the left hand better than I can do the clutch with the right hand :)

Enjoyed the video! Seems like reaching across and throttling with the left hand would really feel weird, especially in the curves, but I guess if there's anyone that can do it, you're the man Dan!

Very nice. I too have been shooting some with a ram mount. The only way to kill the reflection, I think, will be to build a little hood around the camera taped to the windshield. Or as Cheriann does, put the mount so the camera is not behind the screen,
