I chose the Draggin Jeans, very comfortable and fortunately have never had to test them the hard way. http://www.dragginjeans.com/

I have the mesh armor pants called crash pads that are similar to bohn-armor. I also have a mesh jacket that is heavily armored. Can't say as I use the crash pad pants that much. I've tried to get used to them, but they are just as hot under jeans as leathers over jeans. You need to wear loose fitting pants or you feel a bit like the Michelin man with a load in your pants. Being under your pants, it is harder to remove when you stop for a while. I have leathers and Joe Rocket armored ballistic nylon pants, both of which I prefer to wear compared to the crash pads.
The Armored mesh Jacket that I have goes over not under your clothes and I find it a great alternative to my leather jacket on a hot day.

I didn't bother to add the armor because I already had a set of Firstgear riding pants I usually wear on top of the jeans. I understand it is pretty good, just depends on your riding style. My original idea was to avoid road rash more than anything else.

I've got the draggin jeans as well and they are pretty comfortable. Little warmer than reg jeans for obvious reasons but still tolerable in the summer. Did 2500 miles in 90+ heat last summer and they were ok. My chaps are strictly late fall riding now....

I use Bohn Armor cool mesh pants and wear double thickness Carhaart logger jeans over the top . I use an armored mesh jacket with it and ride comfortably in the hot GA summers. Add a windbreaker and it also works in the cold winters.

I use it for longer all day trips but I must admit I want to get it off when I arrive at my destination. I also thought they might be hard to wash but turns out its not too bad. getting the armor in the first time was hard but it is now kind of pre shaped and much easier.

Excellent impact point coverage. One thing to get used to is the knee pads. when standing they seem like they are at your shins but once you get on the bike, everything slides into the right place.

Similar issue w Kevlar in jeans. Too low walking around but with knees bent the placement is perfect

I have them and use both. The armored pants I wear under regular jeans but I do find the movement of the knee pad a pain? Over all I would say a good product. Both my bike accidents I was wearing Joe Rocket pants and jacket, only recieved one small pavement burn, not bad EH!!!!

Thumbs Up Use and recommend

I have been using the Bohn armored pants for over a year now and feel better riding with them on. Went on one fourteen hour ride in the summer and they weren’t bothersome. I use with CorTech Kevlar trousers or denim jeans . I am grateful that I haven’t had to put them to the test but I feel I am more likely to fall over while parking, backing the bike or doing an extreme tight turn and if I fell on my knee I wouldn’t have a serious knee injury with the protection and should I fall at speed any impact damage would be lessened and the Kevlar should reduce the abrasion injury. Not being eighteen any more requires I take some precautionary measures.
They fit great, after riding for an hour or so I do have to occasionally move the knee pads a tad to the outside some as they tend to drift towards the inside of the knee. This is easy to do under the trousers and is only about an inch or so off center. (it might just be me as a friend I ride with who bought them after I recommended them does not have to do this.)
