Here we go again

Woke up this morning to 32 degrees and 2 inches of snow on the ground. It has dropped another inch since then. Liz had to leave early for work because the girl that opens up this week called her and has slid on into a ditch and is stuck. As wet as the snow is I will need to blade the drive soon as the yard tractor doesn't do a very good job of moving wet snow.

The only good thing about this morning is we got an email that Liz's vacation time has been approved for the Rally in ES this June. I guess I will call later this morning about a room. We will be arriving the afternoon of the 23rd for any of you early birds that want to do dinner somewhere that night.

Glad y'all can make it Jim. Looking forward to seeing you again. We didn't get any snow but we did get 2.5" of rain yesterday with a cold East wind.

Just finished blading the drive. It is still snowing fairly hard. Looks like another 1/2 fell while I was out there. And it is a very heavy wet snow. No kids here anymore to build snowmen or have a snowball fight with. I guess I go find a movie to watch.

Glad to see y'all can make it, Jim. Me and Oldbikers and Cajunrider can all hopefully make it over there in one piece that afternoon. Dinner sounds good, but I'm sure that doesn't surprise ya. Lookin' forward to it. Looks like we gonna have a bunch up there. Either going to be a large group riding together or a couple smaller groups. Doesn't matter to me. I do like the idea of riding all day with lunch mixed in somewhere. Jamie

News Flash! There ain't no Global Warming down here in the Deep South, I can promise ya that. But I am glad we're missing the ice. This will probably be our coldest winter ever and has already been the wettest year (2009) and Winter ever. It's been raining since I got home from Eureka Springs last year.

Glad you and Liz could make it Jim.....I look forward to seeing you guys there on the 23rd.

Oh and Jamie...did you read what the groundhog said to the officials the other day when he saw his shadow? He said, "Global warming is a crock!".

Jim, my sympathy goes out to you and your family on the loss of your sister. You guys are always in my thoughts. Happy early, early birthday!

Haven't seen any snow down here in ETexas yet. But it's been cold. We're getting alot of rain tho. I'm ready for warmer weather.

OK! Snow is supposed to be here after dark tonight. Another 6 to 10 inches on the ground by Tuesday. Been thinking about going to the Dark Side. If I do I might just get a studded snow tire.

UPDATE! February 8, 2010. Found 2 inches of snow on the drive this morning. Shoveled a path to the garage to get the tractor out. Predicting another 4 to 6 inches of snow today. If I can blade 2 inches at a time things goes fairly well. At least this snow is light and fluffy as it will throw off the blade well.

It's raining here this morning. Yesterday, it was cloudy but no rain. Hopefully tomorrow, things will clear up.

I'm here in Tulsa, OK and the snow arrived about 6 hrs before it was supposed to. We're expecting at least 6" today and tonight. The good 'ol weatherman said "it will start around 3 this afternoon". It was 9 this morning and I thought I was in the Colorado mountains somewhere.

Dang, I wish I was skiing in Colorado right now. :(
