2012 Nomad- I mounted mine on the factory mount, had to extend the wires by a couple of inches so it would point downwards & not fill up with water. Doesn't look like a lot of clearance between it & the guard but so far so good.

I have seen a number of warnings about mounting in the stock position. Seems to be an OK location until you hit a hole and bottom out with the Wolo hitting the fender.
Diggles, if you installed a Wolo horn and used the factory wiring directly to the horn instead of using a relay, you may be risking anything from melting the wires to burning up the horn switch. The OEM setup is not designed to handle that many amps. I know some aftermarket horns will run on factory wiring, but the Wolo air horns should be installed with a relay. |
