Ticking ?

I hadn't started my 2004 1500 in a few weeks and when I did today I immediately heard a ticking coming from what appears to be the rear cylinder. Very low miles, never heard this before, but it got some better as it warmed up...not gone though. Any suggestions? Maybe run some SeaFoam in the gas?
All suggestions appreciated.

Ticking ?

My Nomad ticks a lot if it is not started for a few days to a week or two. The latter only happens in the dead of winter. Just let it sit and idle for a few minutes until it gets well lubricated then enjoy the ride.

Ticking ?

I agree with Bud, Mike. If I don't start mine for a week or so in the winter it ticks for awhile. It was in the upper 40's in Shreveport this morning, wasn't it?

Ticking ?

Its most likely just a lifter that has bled down a bit, after a couple minutes when it pumps back up it should be fine, its nothing to worry about.

Ticking ?

My '08 did that one day this week. It was probably in the low 60s and it had been two days since I started it. It started ticking but only for a few seconds.

Ticking ?

My bike exhibited similar symptoms after not being started for a few weeks this summer- you should be OK.

Ticking = Nomad, at least in my experience.

Ticking ?

Thanks guys. I rode it around the neighborhood for about 10 min's and put it in the garage to idle a few more. Was still ticking, but not as loud so I shut it off and let it sit for about 15 min's. When I came back out and cranked it up the ticking had all but vanished.

And yes...it was right at 50 degrees this morning. Thanks again for words of wisdom. It has never done that before.
