Temp light, gas light are on after tank removal.

Hi, I have a 2000 nomad. I flushed my radiator last night and plugged everything back in after installing the gas tank and now my Temp light, gas light are on continously, and the gas gauge doesn't work...Must be an electrical problem somewhere...I've checked for pinch wires but didn't see anything. I realize the white 2 pronged plug is for the temp and gas light but everything looks fine when I unplug it and plug it back in. Any suggestions without flames? Thanks, Jody

Remove and triple check things... This is saying these items have a ground they shouldn't have.. If you find no fault check the harness where it turns down behind cly 2 on the left side as seated. This means 'release' the ny lock tab lever. these nyl;ocks are reuseable and have a tab to let them go loose. Don't cut it like I did. LOL

Then detail inspect visusally for chaffing wear between that harness and the frame/engine, which has been a common fault.

This has to be one or the other. and do check all fuses with a test light.

Hey Mac, I think you're right...I found a chaffed wire which led into the white 2 pronged plug under the tank...put some electric tape around it, buttoned everything up and now it's working like it should...Hope it stays that way...lol...Just wonder why 1 tiny black and yellow wire being chaffed would cause all that? Anyway, thanks for the help, it's greatly appreciated, Jody

A single wire with black/yellow? That's odd... Must be ground for what wasn't working..

I am not going to make yer day though. Go take it apart and get some liquid tape at the hard ware store. This is a permanent fix... paint on 3 maybe 4 layers and call it good.

The stuff comes in a small can and has a brush mounted in the lid. So far all the cans have a yellow paper wrapper with black writting.
