Hi, I'm looking for a pair of those "leather like" chaps that go on the frt. crash bars. Is there a proper/different name for them or does anyone know where to get a set?
Thanks

But why not buy the abs hard covers from the guy on Kawanow. Much nicer, I am soon as I get some extra cash:) The airlite look nice but they cover up too much?

Many times I have been riding with the crash bar chaps and decided it would be more comfortable removing them. No sweat just put them in the bag.

Also the opposite, it starts raining or the temp drops, just pull them out of the bag and install.

Convertibility

When you are riding in the rain & the snow there is no such thing as covering too much. There is a mesh in front of the radiator that also catches most of the bugs. Installation and removal is about 1 minute.
Hard lowers are very nice, but not easily removable when the temp. rises during a ride. Sometimes I will start a ride at 35 degrees and finish it in the upper 70"s. At about 60 degrees the front chap comes off and goes in a saddle bag. Very flexible for temperature extremes.

I am thinking about chaps also. I check Airlite and Sagebrush and both are $85 a pair. Checked PH Customs and they are $50 plain,$65 studded, here's web site.

I have the Airlite chaps on my Nomad and on my wife's Yamaha.

they are great and very well made, I like the fact that they are one piece.
