Brake Pedal Cover

I have ordered a Drifter brake pedal for my Nomad.

I am looking at a Kuryakyn brake pedal cover

http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/search/sea....ries&x=11& y=14

Part # 493230

Has anyone tied this cover?

I have the pedal cover. It just for looks. Doesn't add any other benefit.

It looks nice. And if you have Kuryakyn grips and highway pegs, it will match. :)

I have this same cover, Kuryakyn part # is 8857. It does match all the other Kury ISO stuff, and the cover is a little wider and longer than the stock pad. One thing I would suggest, Take the 3/8-16x3/4 in. FSCS fastener and 3/8-16 Acorn nut and throw them away, go to the hardware store and get the same things in stainless steel. I need to do this to mine (they're all rusted), but you have to remove the center rubber pad to replace the screw.

That's the one! Ya might want to install the rubber pads with a little something extra in the adhesive dept. I have lost two pads in a six month period, and I washed down the metal with alcohol and dried carefully before installing the rubber. ??? ::)

I lost my middle pad too. LOL!!! Seems like Kuryakyn ought to use something better than they are. Didn't realize everyone else had problems too. LOL!

So, when I get my cover is there anything I can do to stop this from occurring?

Count me in too!i lost one pad on the b pedal cover & 1 on the shifter pedal as well & i also prepped mine! i did call kuryakan about the b pedal cover bcause it had only been on maybe a couple of weeks & they sent a replacement. i removed them all, cleaned, prepped once again & used 3m adhesive n so far so good! i t was n the middle of the summer a couple of yrs r so back and i think the adhesive on the pads they use can`t take the heat in some cases!
