Air pressure check

Just a friendly reminder for everyone to check the air pressure in your tires. You can easily loose 3 lbs each month. While you're at it check the air in your spare tire on your car - you never know when you might need it. Nothing worse then pulling out your spare to find it flat.

....good advice Wolfman. I try to check tire pressure once a week. The bike will handle best with proper pressures and tires will last that much longer too! :)

And when they put "For temporary use only" on the side of a spare they really mean it. A buddy and I had a falt one day and got out to change it. I grabbed the spare checked that it was not flat, good to go. We threw it on and drove off, sort off. As we turned the corner at the end of the same block, BOOM! Spare blew out. No sh*t temporary.

Good advice Wolfman.
Road yesterday with a buddy who has a Goldwing. After about 150 miles we noticed his rear tire looked low. Pulled into a fill station and added air. When we checked the front tire, we saw it had a screw in it. Made it home ever so carefully.

...and with tubeless and the Nomad's rear fender+, it might be the first way to detect a nail or worse. On a road trip, I check the pressure every morning, got stranded once because I didn't.

Great advice wolf....I'm guilty of letting that go too long at times and I'm shocked when I do finally check pressures and where they're at.

Just happened to be in Wally World and found the Slime Spareair kit. has a compressor all power cords, air hose, tire gauge, 8 oz Slime all in a nice semi hard black zip case. No bigger than a 6 X 6 inch sq. for $ 29 + tax. Bought one for that flat that you can fix in 15 minutes vs waiting for help. Hope this helps!

Got the Slime kit too. Rounded it out with the Stop-and-Go Pocket Tire Plugger. Now I'll never have another flat.

I check mine every week. My buddy hadn't ever checked his (had bike for like 8 months) before I forced him to...he only had about 20 lbs. on his Shadow tires.

I tried to fill mine Saturday, but the stations air was malfunctioning and before I realized it, I sucked out enough air to be down to 20 lbs.

The ride to another station was difficult. The front tire wanted to follow every irregularity and took a lot of effort to make steering corrections.

I also carry a 12V Slime Air Compressor with me on longer trips, plus the Slime itself, just in case. The gauge on the compressor is a bit optimistic but since I know how much, it can be easily compensated for. A small digital tire gauge is illuminated and comes in handy in the dark.

Air pressure check

Good advice but now I have to ask (again --- I know there is lots of threads out there) what is the standard "MOM" tire pressures for the Bridgestones?

I don't know anyone who runs the standard MOM tire pressure. Most on here run about 40 front / 42 rear.
