130 mph on I-89 / Crashed

A 19 year old sport bike rider was clocked at 130 mph. Police lost him briefly, found him crashed into some brush after missing a corner. There were people in the woods where he crashed and the bike and rider did hit them. Full details have not been released as of yet.

Separate MC accident had a woman killed and a male hospitalized. They are not sure who was driving. Full details have not been released yet.

It's early in the season, be careful.

Today's paper said he was clocked at 137 mph and is still in the hospital, broken arm and internal injuries. He crashed into a homeless encampment. They all had some kind of injuries, and they all refused treatment. ?
The woman who died in the other accident was riding her own bike and her husband was following on his bike. He did CPR until rescue arrived. They are not sure what happened, as the husband said they were going the speed limit on a clear road with a slight curve. She just drove off the road.

Please pay attention while you are out there.

Could be that she had a heart attack, blood clot, stroke or seizure. Bet it was one of those. Depending on the age, if she was under 50, I would bet blood clot, over 50, MI. As far as the idiot goes, it seems he was going faster than 137 at some point, or at least that is the impression I get. Thing is, what is a homeless colony doing on a median? That's asking for trouble. He's lucky he's alive.

Jim, The women's accident is still open. Will be interesting to hear what may have caused her to drive off the road.
The 19 year old idiot, well. The State Police barracks are right there, where he was clocked. They lost sight of him, he exited from I-89 onto I-189. The police spotted him again there on the curve, the rider looked back at the police and disappeared again. They saw rear section of his bike sticking up in the median. The median drops down into a small patch of woods. The homeless encampment has been broken up at their other nearby places several times. These people are really out there, some have mental problems. There have been stabbings over a shopping cart and a tarp. Evidently they thought they would be safe from the police there.

They weren't safe from a motorcycle pulling the ton.

130 mph on I-89 / Crashed

I used to own sportsbikes Ninja, Katana and Honda SuperBlackbird 1100xx (the best) before doing Cruiser. The rumble, wind and speed excites the rider. I once went 135 mph. Love them. Corners were straight and stretches whether short or long gives the rider opportuinity to roll up the throttle. Looks is another story.

Now I'm a Nomad. Crusing the stretches and slowing down on corners. Different excitement different gears. Love the wind.

Love both. Whatever bike you're riding, Be on the defense all the time.

Ride safe!!!!

The 19 year old is being charged with: Excessive speed 137 in a 65, attempting to elude officers, gross negligent operation, possesion of brass nuckles [deadly weapon], possession of marijuana, digital scale, marijuana pipe, $1330.00 cash, and license plates not assigned to that vehicle. I think he is going to be in the system for a while.
Still no word of why the woman drove off the road. But by now they probably have decided, its just not worth printing I guess.

They were helped out of the median. They refused medical treatment. I'm sure they have set up camp already, they have been in that area for a few years now. I believe the police leave them alone, for the most part they don't bother anyone. When they do, they have to move. They like being independent.
