Sure is. That is not too far from where I grew up. They stated that the driver of the pickup was possibly drunk.

With the update on this it appears one of them drove a Nomad. Look in the picture. Damn drunk driver was going to be a senior at UNL this fall.

It is now reported that the driver of the tuck was DUI. He is 21 yrs old and already has one arrest for DUI, one for driving on suspended license and several for speeding. Before the accident he was reported by a 911 call as "driving like a drunk".

The 4 MC riders (one was riding a Nomad) were in the last hour of a six day trip. They were riding in "close formation" and three of them did not have helmets on ( I don't think it would have made any difference if they had).

This kid not only killed 4 innocent people but ruined the lives of the families of the four, his family, and his. He probably doesn't realize yet that he will have to live with his stupid decision, whether it is in or out of prison. What a tragedy.

He's 21. That makes him part of the "victim" generation. He will not consider that this is his fault in any way.

Man I'll tell you. the way the newspapers portray this murderer you would think he is up for an award. Who cares about what he has done in college or anywhere else. He murdered four people plain and simple. What a scumbag.

Lawyer of the drunk driver with his family did a press conference. The kid looked almost non-remorseful on this. A person called 911 reporting this kid before the accident. He left the convience store right before the cop made it there.

I smell a large lawsuit from the families to the liquor store that sold him more beer just right before the accident. He was visibly drunk at that point in time.

Joel has a major point here. When we start holding the seller of alcohol to folks who are obviously drunk we will have taken a major steep in reducing DUIs incidents. In some states (CA is one), it is in fact a crime to sell alcohol to a person who is obviously drunk. So, not only can the seller lose big $$$$s but they can also go to jail.

From a senior at UNL to a freshman at the Department of Corrections in one stupid decision. . . Four lives snuffed out and many more impacted by his actions.
