North Central Rally

We left Columbus, IN at 6am Nomad full of fuel & the trailer loaded & hitched. What a great day for riding. It is a new expierience for us not just our first KawNOW Rally but also our first long distance more than 1 night stay on the Nomad. The Nomad did great pulling the trailer over various types of roads. Interstate riding at speeds of 80mph to 2 lane roads with a lot a elevation changes. The bike had no problems when coming to steep hills either up or down. The fuel mileage could have been better we averaged about 36 to 38 MPG. We are in our motel after riding 475 miles today. But no complains from me. We did not purchase the Nomad for saving money on fuel we purchased it because we enjoy riding. We are in our motel after riding 475 miles. Waiting for other members to arrive. We are looking forward to a great time riding & meeting other Nomad owners & members of KawaNOW.
Thanks to Trip & all others who work so hard on making this site what it is & what it gives back to Nomad owners.

North Central Rally

Glad to hear you made it safe bluekaw...

To others... the North Central Rally officially begins tomorrow; Friday, July 9th and will run through Sunday the 11th -- and is based out of Prairie du Chien, WI.

We appear to have a good group of bikes coming... somewhere from 15-25 bikes possible for this rally.

For those that have not ever ridden in that area, they are in for a pleasant surprise in my opinion. We have quite a few ride options that cover wide variety of road-types with great scenery.

In case there is anyone from that area that would like to join-in at the last minute... come on over! Pre-ride meetings will be at 8am at the Country Inn (at the north-end of PDC near Cabella's).

BiscuitsNGravy and I will report back to the board on how things are going.

North Central Rally

Sounds like it was a great ride. Glad it was a safe one for you. As for the fuel mileage that wasn't bad pulling trailer with two up.
