6.5 Speaker Mounts

I have exactly the same, just waiting for a buddy to go pick up the mounts in Ogdensburg and then will have them mounted, how do they sound compared to what you had on before, and did you get the ones with the LED lighting as I did? I plan on hooking up the blue

Waiting for mine; they look great. Do you have an amp or are you just using the stock equipment other than speakers?

Do not take this as a run down or an insult but I don't like those space age grills I think it would look a 100 times better if you went around to stereo shops and found some screen or mesh cover type grills JMO I have Alpine 6.75' in mine using the factory Kawasaki grills. yes I had to cut the fairing factory mounts out but totally secure and covered so he eyes doesn't have a clue. Your mounts and install looks professionally done and mounted and not bad at all Its just those grills don't carry the smooth lines of the rest of the dash to me

I'm the opposite, I like them and intend to use them on mine when I get the mounts installed. I also got the speakers with the LED lights and intend to have the blue ones hooked up. I guess it boils down to personal taste.

Mesh screens are played out dude, they're old as dirt. The one's he's using are the new styles that a lot of bikers are going to these days, from what I see anyway.

And I thought that audio was all about how it sounds - not how it looks...

I don't suppose anyone would care to post pics of the adapters?

Do the speakers and adapters mount behind the fairing, or on top of it?
