Bike is looking very good man.

I do have to say, all this arguing about seats is weird to me. I rode 1500 miles in 36hrs and did just fine on the stock seat. The only things I would change on it would be to sit just a hair further back and maybe replace the top cover with suede or something that'll breathe a bit better on those hot days.

There is a left over green Vaq at my local dealer that I would love to get, but I got my 2011 Red one for so cheap there is no point. Maybe if it had ABS, then I'd be "upgrading". I do love the color though.

Yeah I really cant recommend seth laam because of his poor customer service
The first time I sent him my seat everything went perfect, the second time was a nightmare. Both times I asked him to send me some matching vinyl and both times he didn't, Always had an excuse.
His product is great however, if you do deal with him don't send him your primary seat,, Find a spare and send it. You will get a great seat,,, Eventually
You should hear about the guy he used to work for, Rick Mayer. Some people have been waiting for 6 months for a seat and never got it and Rick has been in business for a long time. My guess is that Seth has picked up the business Rick lost due to personal problems and stupidity and is overwhelmed. Lots of times people that are really good at what they do are terrible business people and need someone to handle the business side.

Yes Seth was a little weird to deal with,, Sense I cant hear over the phone I have to do my business through messaging. I'm sure that didn't help
I have put about 600 miles on the seat now, And it's way better than stock
and you can't beat the price or workmanship
My advice if dealing with him is to find a seat on ebay and send him that,, DON'T sent your primary seat. I think I would do this no matter who I send the seat to though.
So, Bottom line, The seat is great and I would do business with him again

The bars on my bike are 19" and you have to replace everything and stretch the harness,, It is a huge pain in the ass. But it cant be helped
I make a set of bars for vaquero's that you don't have to extend anything. They are bolt on

Don...Is that picture above the 19" or the ones that you don't have to extend?
Any more pics of the ones you don't have to extend?

How much higher than stock are those? Any chance you could post a pic of somebody sitting on the bike with their arms on the bars so I can get an idea of where they'd be when riding? I like the look but am concerned about long distance comfort.

shield

i bought a shield for my 2014 Vaq. on ebay from a seller called DakotaShields. It's 8in. made all the difference in the world over the stock yet not too tall, it is tinted for only $49.00 free shipping and very well made.

Don, that bike is really looking good. The bars in the above picture that look like brushed metal; are they the blacks ones a couple posts later? Very sharp. If so how much are they? I've got many other questions, but I guess I will spread them out. Lol
