Gcarm
The Kawasaki accessories I bought through my dealer. He is willing to match any internet price as long as it is not below his cost because he would rather have the products flowing through his business than not make a sale.

www.marvellas.com
for all the accessories that say marvella.

www.rifle.com for the rifle windshield.

www.amazon.com for a lot of the other stuff.

Oh yeah... this thread will eventually drift as well... so prepare yourself.
Shh. I'm hoping to keep them busy with the fluff thread I started so this one can be helpful to those who want to accessorize their Voyagers.

I liked it OK. The only reason I replaced it was because it was digging in my wifes thighs so I had to ride without it when riding two up.

It does flex which is kind of nice when riding solo because it will lean back some when you have your feet stretched out on the highway pegs, but if you like sitting straight up it becomes more like a guide letting you know you are starting to slouch.

Definitely a good backrest for the $.

If money is not an issue I would look at the Utopia backrest.

I've got the grasshopper. It also rubbed on my wifes legs, so i called them and they said they would send me a new one, and raised it 2 inchs. love it. Fits me better with more support for my back and does not touch my wifes legs anymore. Returned the first one in same box with prepaid shipping label they gave me. Great people.

The Grasshopper has a funny shape and the Utopia won't work on a solo ride. Has to be something like the Utopia but for solos out there.

I have been looking at the new 2012 Voyager, beige /white. I test rode the Voyager in 2009 at Bikes Blues Festival and was not impressed. The 2 big negatives were the transmission shifted very qlunky and way too much heat coming off the engine. In researching this 2012 model they claim to have addressed those problems. Does anyone have any first hand experience about the 2012 model?

The Chairman of the Board of the American Voyager Association has tried out the 2012 model and he states that the new Kawasaki Air Management Systems has done a lot to alleviate the heat concerns many folks have with the bike.

My 2010 only has a mild clunking from 1st to 2nd. No clunking going from neutral into 1st or any of the other gears. I attribute that to the positive neutral finder. Kawasaki did change the gear ratios in the lower gears based on feedback from riders.

My suggestion to you is go take a test ride. If none of your local dealers will allow it, then watch for the Vulcan Nation Demo Tour or Kawasaki Ticket to Ride events. Hopefully one will be close enough for you to participate.

Kawasaki has a list of participating Demo Ride dealers. Put in your information and see where your nearest one is located.

A couple of questions if you don't mind:
Kuryakyn Highway Pegs - p/n & cost?
Kawasaki Chrome passenger floorboard covers - p/n cost & source?
Kawasaki Chrome Front Fender Trim - p/n cost & source

Assume same p/n for 1700 Nomad?

Got the Kuryakyn Highway Pegs from www.marvellas.com He is a reseller for these, but does make several of his own products. I have met Marv and Ella. They are great people so I do business with them when I can.

The passenger floorboard covers are OEM part for the VN2000. Got mine from www.Motosport.com when they were having a 25% off sale.
14091-0229 Paid $10.25 for the pair.

Kawasaki Chrome Front Fender Trim you can find here. http://www.kawasaki.com/DigitalCatalogs/Cruiser_ebook/view.html along with all the accessories for your bike. What you pay for these is what you negotiate. Sometimes you can find them at 20% off MSRP. My local dealer matches internet pricing because he would rather have the business and make a little less profit than not have the business.

What kind of trunk rack do you have on your Voyager? I might have missed it in your list but as long as that list is, my eyes were tired! lol

Showchrome trunk rack for the 1800 wing. I think it goes well with the tall passenger backrest.

Thanks for reply. I don't have the tall passenger backrest so I think it would look odd on mine. Back to looking.

There have been a lot of good reports about the Royal Star Venture rack. Most report it is a perfect fit on the Voyager trunk. One guy even found a Vulcan symbol to cover the Star symbol
