Replacing aux. bulb

Just an nteresting tip for some beginners that have not thought about it.

I was out playing around today and puled right in front of a shop with a big front window. Normally when that happens, I look in the reflection and say, " Damn we're good looking", referrring to the bike and myself. However, this time all I could say was, " Why the f*%k is only one light on?"

SO i just turned them off to avoid the embarassment on not having a fully functioning ride. When I got home I messed with the wires a tiny bit just making sure the were all tightly connected. That didn't help, so I took the lights apart and hooked the bad one to the other fixture that was working. It didnt work there, even though the other one did. Now I knew it was the bulb even though The filament and all still looked fine.

Until I took them apart I didnt realize that they came stock with the 25 watt but the fixture is rated for 55W. I bought two of them at $5 a pop. Now I can actually see the beam hitting my house in broad daylight.

If you have the Fire & Steel Auuxilary lights go get that better bulb. What a cheap easy lighting upgrade.

Replacing aux. bulb

Thus far this afternoon, yes it will. Only long term will tell.
Now when my main headlight bulb blows, I plan to replace it with the Wagner 1210H4. When I do that I will probably have to upgrade fuses.

I will keep you posted if anything goes wrong.
