reckless fairing

all right i just bit the bullet and order one... question is those who have one... did you replace the windshield? im thinking about a clearview with recuvre. im 6 1 and like to look over the shield

congrats on the fairing and no not yet on the windshield. Im 6ft 3 and will go with a flip shield as well if I keep the bike

reckless fairing

I put an 8" on the fairing and I am going to get a 10" Aero shield from http://www.fastaire.com/Aero.html . I'm 6'1" with a 31" leg, so most of my height is in the upper body. I get a lot of buffeting with the 8". I know that Tom has a "Areo" shied and really likes it.

Unless Alex has improved the quality of the shields he provides, they look like a junior high kid's shop project. I think nearly everyone replaces it.

do they just use standard ultra classic shields then?

Alex cuts his own,, very basic. but the HD after market will fit and they are 110% better

I have a freedom shield 7" with the flip and I am 6' with 31'' inseam the air goes over my head about 2 inches.

on the speakers.... what kind did you guys go with? i went with the 6x9 holes and am going to get marine grade speakers.... do i need to figure out something to put over the top so the water cant screw with them? or not

Water isn't going to hurt them. They won't have paper cones.

i got it and am impressed.. painting it right now with duplicolor... not a perfect match but oh well! i really like it so far... pics when im done!
