WOW.... It's definitely the future. MIT is working on a battery that can be fully charged in about the same time it takes to fill a gas tank. Couple that with a distance of 250 to 300 miles per charge and there won't be any looking back.

Watched that recently. I think they realize it's not ready for the general public quite yet. But a few more years.

If it were capable of re-charging while one had a cup of coffee and a trip to the rest room, and had a range of 150-200 miles I think it would sell. Providing the cost was comparable to a gas powered bike.

The cost of the normal production model he said is $38K.

Thats the first electric bike that seems to have any hope of making it to the market and being accepted. I like what I seen about it.

I had to laugh at one of the viewer's comments below the video:

Merely fast, No soul, no rider connection, no passion, no noise. Dumbed down motor cycling. No thanks. i will stick with my Ducati.

I would dare say that the guy who rode it through the all curves and hairpins to win overall at Pikes Peak would argue that there is definitely a "rider connection".
