Tax Return Treats

Given we are expecting a sizable tax refund sometime next week....I dropped the Nomad off for a pre-spring service....and while there....I'm having them add a Gerbing power plug harness so the wife has a place to plug into. It will come up between the front and rear seats for easy reach to her power cord. I then took her up to Cycle Barn in Marysville and bought her a Gerbing jacket liner and controller.

Jacket Liner and Controller....$305.00

Federal Tax Refund.......$3500.00

Getting Laid.......Priceless.... ;) !

Now make sure you CLAIM that BENEFIT on your next year's return OK
Or just explain you've already been SCREWED for that money and that if they do try to get you on capital gains for it that you can't be double DIPPED for the same thing

I don't get to enjoy my return. It pays my annual homeowners insurance policy.

Glad to hear the money is going back into the economy Chris!!!! LOL!!

I am not getting any back... instead I will be writing a check out; but you can be sure it won't be sent until the last minute -- which I think is April 18th this year.

I don't even have my T4 slip yet. Can't do much without it.
I usually get a refund of some sort though, and I usually file at the last day possible, just out of habit.

I never want to get stuck paying, so I always have extra taken out of my paycheck. I know it ain't the smartest thing...but it's definitely nice getting that refund every year!

None of my business Kris, but why not just take that money every "pay day" and deposit it in a savings account, collect the meager insurance yourself. Then you can dip into it throughout the year if you want. otherwise the gov't is keeping your money every week and getting the "meager interest. I'm just say'in. :-/

LOL.....that's the exact argument everyone makes and I get it for sure. Unfortunately....that idea works better in theory than in practice. If I took it on my check....it would get spent just like all the rest.... .

I, used to get a nice tax refund from state and federal but for the last 3 yrs I don's have any tax held out. I, would rather owe them the way things are nowdays.

My return should be pretty good this year. When you're on Workers Compensation, {I've been on it for almost a year now} the money from them isn't taxable. I get my cheques from my employer and pay full tax on all of it. It's in our contract to have it done that way.

There's the sad truth in out system right there. We let THEM sit on OUR money for a year, give some of it back to us and we tend to think of that as NOT PAYING.
