Lonnie's Driver backrest Review

Jon

Just a little tip from someone who knows better.

Never post a picture of you beautiful wife where these hounds will go for the throat!

Keep us posted on the backrest. I may want one. As long as your wife comes with it!!

Thanks for the tip Blowndodge. I just wasn't thinking because Texas is full of hot women so you just forget. Rookie mistake.

Hey Jon, I know my Ultra Drops down to right above the top of the Driver seat, can you feel that exposed bar when you accelerate?

I didn't get a chance to ride with it on because the bar that went into the slot was accidentally cut too short and it would not safely stay in. Lonnie had already realized this mistake and emailed me by the time I got home for work. Everything looked good and the workmanship was excellent.

As far as the bar being exposed against your back, I don't know at this time. I have the idea of wrapping the exposed portion on the bar in a leather-like matching vinyl. I think that would look good plus, if it does contact your tail bone, may soften the feel a little.

So for your wife to get on and off the bike, do you have to pull the backrest out of the bracket and slide it back in, or is the other portion hinged?
