Framer, was Verne's wife with him? Your post seems to suggest she was at the rally.
No. She was not here. I think Framer meant to say his wife and him hit it off.

Got the news today. I had a call from Verne a few days ago. I never met him in person but he and I talked for 15-20 minutes. It was like I always knew him. We were laughing and had a good visit. We were going to meet up on his way home. He said his bike had over 80K miles! Our prayers go out to his family and friends. Rest in peace Old Dog.

I just got the sad news. I'm so sorry this happen. Even though I've never met Verne I know in my heart he was enjoying something he loved. I know I enjoy riding my Nomad more than any other thing I can imagine and an Antlers Rally is the best event I've ever attended which adds to that unimaginable feeling unless you've done it. You hop on that thing and something in your mind clicks that makes yo want to travel to a good rally a thousand miles away. It makes you feel young and alive again. Feelings such as that, I know somebody like Verne must have known.

I hope nobody feels guilt or responsibility for this accident. Verne was maybe in the prime of his life but when the Man up stairs calls you, it's your time, no matter what you're doing. For us to try to understand God's ways would be the same as making your pup understand algebra.

My thoughts and prayers are with Verne's family tonight.
