Exclamation Mark New VBA Leadership

It's time to announce my stepping down as VBA's President. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time in this position and have felt honored to lead such an awesome group. I feel like we have made some great organizational updates and changes that will make running VBA even easier for future leadership. This past March marked 2 years as President. With my time being stretched thin and my family growing (with a new addition arriving any day now), now seems to be a good time to step down.

After considering who would be a good replacement, and talking with dozens of members to gather opinions and suggestions, Jay Stephens, my current VP, will be taking over as President. He will be President for a time to get the VBA presidency on a 2-year schedule. I have full confidence in Jay, and those who know him personally know that he is of the highest caliber. Amin Bakri has accepted the position as Jay's VP. Amin is one of the nicest and most enthusiastic members VBA has. If you're on Facebook, you're bound to have seen some of his pictures from all the great places he's ridden to this summer. He's also fortunate enough to have a wife who enjoys motorcycling with him.

Over the next two months we will be going over various trainings and will finalize everything by the end of September. I have full confidence in both these guys and ask that you give them your full support.

Jared, thanks for the leadership you provided the last two years. Personally I think that a 2 year tenure as President is a great idea, keeps things fresh.
Congratulations to Jay and Amin, arguably two of the most active members and they are also great guys.
VBA is in great hands for the next 2 years.
(Both Jay and Amin are North Central Region members, just sayin')

Jared, you have done a great job as Grand Poobah of the VBA. Jay and Amin are fine choices to fill the slots. Thanks for all you've done.
