Exhaust System Stuff Falling Out

Was under the bike double checking measurements for the new CT when I noticed this at the bottom of the pipe.

I pulled it out. Tin foil???

I wonder how much has fallen out? It's been sounding better though. Anyone else notice this?

Maybe someone ate a Hostess Ding-Dong near your bike and left the wrapper for you?

Well, they did it again today. Noticed it again when I got to work this morning. Just a little piece.

Strange...I haven't noticed anything like that on mine...of course I only have about 15 miles on the ODO. :) I'll keep an eye on it though.

That is part of the catalytic converter material. Mine did it to. Then I just went ahead and debaffled both sides to the cats. Excellent tone, no need for power commander. Gas mileage increase along with power about 7%.

You're telling me that foil was PLATINUM?? I should have saved it for recycling. Have not seen it for awhile. But If I do????

I sure hope it starts falling out of mine if it is worth money. Santa will be here soon and I need to pay the Big Guy.

I guess if I read enough posts sooner or later will find what I need to know for sure. Wanted to know for sure if bike would still run ok if I just debaffled, and nothing else.

Not a tick...runs just fine. Going Darkside this spring with Bridgestone Potenza G019 Grid in 205/60R16. Let you know how it goes. Ride safe!
