Mods and warrenty

Was wondering that if you changed out air intake and exhaust, adding in a fuel mgt system, if the warrenty is still good. Obe would think since you changed the manifacturers settings, ya just might.

Well then I would remove those mods before taking the bike in to the dealer service department. It can't void your warranty, but if the manufacturer proves the mods caused the failure, they can refuse to cover that instance. For example, your rear drive fails - Kawasaki can't refuse to cover it because you put an air kit on the bike. One has nothing to do with the other.

Unless your rear drive goes out because the bike runs so much better and you find yourself turning the throttle too much too often...

I will say no, as I had mine in for cruise control issue. They had to remove the Air kit I produce to gain access to the micro switch and the mechanic commented on the system, and they will keep me inmind if someone is looking to add one.
Just remember they sell pipes, fuel processors, and air kits too.

If you buy Kawasaki brand parts for your Kawasaki, I don't see how Kawasaki could void your warranty. If you have aftermarket parts on your bike and the dealer can, in any way, claim those parts hurt your bike, they'd deny your warranty. (Victory has aftermarket pipes and air filter but they don't sell fuel processors, just a new download for the stock ECM.) Like CJ said, the part you added has to have something to do with the part that broke. If you add different bars and your rear brakes are the issue, it would be pretty tough for them to deny any warranty claims. I'll add new (aftermarket) pipes, air filter(s) and a fuel processor this winter but if anything should happen to my motor, I'll revert back to stock before I bring it to the dealer (as it's under warranty).

All depends on your dealer's service department (shop supervisor). I've been told this numerous times at the Kaw dealer where I purchased my Nomad. If he makes an issue about a mod, Kawasaki will take the ball and run with it. Dealers sell and install trailer hitches that they tell you will void your warranty. I suppose that's what kept causing pinion seal failures on mine.
