?? Adding washers to make fit

Wonder if adding washers to a pair of shocks that were sent to me. Would need about .25 inches of spacers. Would adding washers to the inside then adding the shock have any affect on the bike, safety??

have an 07 Nomad 1600. One shock is leaking air, Will not hold the pressure.

Thanks

If your saying the bushing is shorter than the stud and or the bottom bolt giving you side to side slop then I see no issue. If your saying the bushing is a greater diameter than the stud, then you need a sleeve to take up the slop.

Plus I'd look for a spacer 1/4" thick and use that - better than a bunch of washers, if available.
