Blue Vaquero

I've liked the Vaqs since I saw the first one. Like the black and red, really liked the green, then went to a local dealership and saw the blue in person. Man that's the color. Absolutely striking. There was a green one sitting next to it and gotta say, the blue stole the show and had my full attention.

Dealer said the blue one is the fastest too. Wins over the black, red, and green by a solid 10 mph.

Now hoping my tax returns are going to be somewhere around $15,000-$16,000.

Good luck with that!

But I do agree, that Blue is eye catching

Do the 2012 Vaqs still have the flimsy plastic tank-trim? I know they probably make an aftermarket leather tank bra or something to replace it, but it really annoys me that they didn't make a sturdier (metal, maybe?) trim piece!

I do like the new color options! When I trade up from my 08 Nomad, Harley is going to have a tough time selling me on a FLHX Street Glide with the Vaq as competition unless something unforseen happens with Harley prices!

I was the opposite. I saw them both and felt the green really stood out. The blue to me was almost overpowering. Odd since I like the color blue more so then the green. Both good looking bikes, but it's the green for me.

They're both nice colors. I'd like to see the green one in person, it looks better than Harley's 2011 "apple green" on the Limiteds.

Glade to see that Kawasaki has carried that trait over from the Nomads.

Didn't notice the flimsy plastic, but wasn't really looking for it either. I'm always afraid to look too close or sit on one. It'd probably be all over at that point. A test ride is absolutely out of the question.

Also saw a really nice Cory Ness Victory Crosscountry ($20K for a two year old used bike though). It was done up with some custom accessories, fancy wheels, and a candy apple red paint job. It's taken a while for Victory's over the top bagger styling to grow on me, but I like em now. The Vision is still a bit much for my minimalist taste.

Had a real nice looking Blurple (blue/purple) Street glide too. Predictably the price for a 4 year old bike with 30,000 miles on it was more than that of a brand new Vaquero. It was pretty though.

This was in a dealer's showroom and the lighting is kinda funky. It might be a different story in a natural light. It almost looked neon and I could see where some would think it's too much.

Haven't seen a green one yet. Of the black, red & blue I have seen, I'm still stuck on the black...sweet bike in any color though! As for a HD, when they add a radiator & get competitive with their $...maybe.

HD sells plenty of bikes at their current pricing levels. Kawasaki is competing with HD on price, not the other way around.

My local dealer still only has a red one and a black one. I will have to try and go to a bigger town and see if I can see them.

Do not know if you should trust any Dealer that tells you anything other than that BLACK is FASTER!
