Hello,

My name is Gary and I am new to the motorcycle scene. Last fall some friends from work and I decided to take the BRC at our local HD dealer since they offered it free to LEOs.

My son in law was letting me ride around on his sport bike and I took the course on a HD Street 500.

I never intended to get a large cruiser right off the bat, but as they say, this one was too good to pass up! A co-worker heard I was getting my endorsement and he was selling his 2001 Nomad 1500FI. His wife did everything but put the title and keys in my mailbox!

We worked out a deal and I rode off with the bike. Needless to say there was a learning curve going from riding the sport bike to the Nomad!

Unfortunately, I only had the bike a couple weeks before it was time to put her away for the winter. I've been able to get her out to ride a couple times last month and am impatiently awaiting the warm weather to be able to ride more.
