HOT!

I changed my oil and filter this morning (Rotella T6 and a Mobil1 filter). I just now rode over to the gas station to buy some gas and it is nasty hot out. It was only about a 7 mile round trip and I feel like I just did the Bataan death march. I have never heard the coolant bubbling in my overflow jug, but I did when I pulled into my garage.

Geese the thermo from you sig line says 111'F. I would be so dead.. That seems stange since usually assuming room temp lowers a body's temp, but out there i would be warmer than normal. How do you live?

I stay indoors a lot. Seriously, this time of year I try to get my "outdoor" stuff out of the way before noon on the weekends. Then I sit in the house and vegetate or the wife and I go shopping or something.

HOT!

Here in Alabama the heat index has been over 100 for about ten days straight now. Actual temps have been in the mid to upper 90s with humidity so thick you have to slice your way through it. I have lived in Arizona for a couple of months and did physical training with the Army and on our runs I never sweated. I know it is still hot but when it is in the upper 90s here in Alabama it is miserable.

HOT!

PGR is doing an escort for the HOHF quilt on Tuesday. They are starting at Goodyear and doing a run to Carlsbad CA. Temp is expected to be 111. As they are going thru Yuma, it will be hotter down that way. They are expecting it to take about 7 hours of steady riding in the heat.

I will not be participating. I admire those at have the stamina to do so, but even when I ride with a cooling vest, it still gets miserable.

We had our cooling vests on yesterday during our short ride, and still decided at 9 a.m. we had enough and headed back home.

HOT!

We spent Friday and Saturday up on my daughter's roof roofing. It was beastly, and we got baked. And also a little bit of heat exhaustion. HOT!

I had to put the liner in my mesh jacket this afternoon. The full face helmet was comfy too. I like cool weather. ;)

TC that is probably why you live in upstate New York. Sometimes I wished I lived farther north but then come winter and no bike riding and I would be missing the south.

HOT!

This time of year I only ride to work a couple of days a week. It's over 100 at lunch time and I come back from lunch and my hair is dripping wet with perspiration. I have pretty long hair, so it just doesn't look good at work.

I know, I go through this every year - but it's worth it in 6 months when I'm still riding and 75% of the country is shoveling snow.
