Which lightbar do you all recommend?

Have decided after my first night ride on my 1500 Nomad that I definitely want to put a lightbar on it. Had one on my Honda and there is a BIG difference in how well you can see at night. What are you all using as far as light bars? I see a huge difference in prices. From 280 dollars down to 29.99.

You could mount a set of LED driving lights to your crashbar. It would be an inexpensive way to add some additional lighting.

I didn't put it on but my last Nomad had ,I think, Cobra on it. Plenty bright but I didn't think they helped much in a turn. This time I'm looking at a set by Rivco that mount on the engine guard.

How are lights on the engine guard going to help any more in a turn than the Cobra lightbar did

When you steer through a left turn, your headlight & lightbar are pointing a little to the right. The engine guard is pointing in the direction you are going.

That's actually the one I was looking for! The ad says it can't be used with the "Fire and Steel" windshield. Is that the windshield that comes stock on the 03 Nomad FI 1500? If so, than this lightbar won't work on my bike, cause I still have the stock windshield. Anyone know for sure?

The picture in the ad shows it mounted with a standard Kawi windshield. I believe he is talking about the add on windshield for the 900's and Classics. Best thing to do is write the guy selling it and get his answer. That way if he jacks ya up, He's got to make it right by you.

All good information. I went with the Cobra, paying about $180 for it. It is a very nice piece and has an independent switch, which others might not have.

One can't have too much light so I am considering mounting another set on the engine guards.

My bike came with a Cobra light bar and I like it a lot.

The Fire and Steel Lightbar is a quality lightbar and I think it looks great on the Nomad.
