I need feedback from you guys about what week would be best in July. 7th, 14th or 21st.

Following input this weekend I will call the motel event coordinator on Monday to get a block of rooms set aside. Joel and I want to hold a combined NW-SW rally so we may block out all of their rooms. Who knows?

I vote for the week of the 21st. I'm thinking if you block out 25 rooms that would be plenty. Try to get as many as you can on the river side of the building! If I remember, I think the hotel sets up a nice bike washing area as well. They also have a great breakfast...not a cheesy little continental one, but a real one. The walk-in cooler in the lobby for beer and wine is a little over the top, but a really nice touch too.

That would be great...if I didn't have to work for a living.

Kris, it's still the desert in June. Once you get to the middle of June it's not much different than July or August. Coming back from Estes Park it was leave before sunrise and stopping by 1PM seemed to work. Also I discovered a soaked T-Shirt lasts about 65 miles.

I have about 300 less desert miles than Scott does but it still takes a plan to get across it without ending up like BD on the verge of passing out in a gas station. Like I said before, If you're not careful the desert will eat you.

I would guess that your travel hours are 5:00am to about noonish in those conditions....but you desert guys should be well conditioned to that...!

Just for the record, I've seen it snow here in every month except for August and that's only because i've only lived here for 18 yrs.

This weather in this area of Idaho is real close to the same as here.

Tad, we are close enough that we could ride up together. Maybe up through Salmon and then to Missoula then down HWY 12 to Orofino. Scott can tag along after he gets out from under those sprinklers.
