What is under the cover - the rebuild starts now

The rebuild of my beloved bike starts now. All damaged parts except for rear bag mounts and trailer hitch have been removed. That I will wait on till spring to remove and install new ones, except for trailer hitch as she will no longer tow a trailer again. If you know anyone who wants an undamaged Lees ure lite tent trailer send them my way please.

All the front end damaged parts have been ordered like the headlight bucket, and all the components to make it adjustable again and work properly and the driving lights have been ordered also.

I have received new LED lens with bulb and wow are they bright. Way beyond what I have had in past. The headlight LED bulb is awesome also very bright and all are a clear white light which I love.

All Ball new bearings for the steering head are also going to be done at this time. The ECU has been sent away to Ivan for its second update.

I know it looks dusty and dirty but will clean that off shortly as has been sitting since my accident and I have not been able to do anything to the bike until now.

The big search is on now for a painter who can apply the colors I want and the way I want the colors applied and who can do it for a reasonable price point. It will look amazing for sure I hope as I think I have it pegged down exactly to what I want and it will be tasteful to everyone I believe.

The seat has also been studded and I love it.

Well allot more to go and as it happens will update you with some pictures.

Dave

Just some more pictures

Just thought let you all have a look at the seat and headlight bulb

If you know or think of anything that might be awesome to do to the bike at this time put the idea forth and I will consider it.

I can not wait to see it in the spring all done up.

I was the one you measured up my bike for the fork brace and we went for a ride after. Was awesome to meet you and with any guy who has the mileage on that you do when you speak I listen. You have to be doing something right.

God it was something on the road I believe it all happened so fast a piece of pipe or angle iron I am sure but happened all to fast. Nothing was keeping me out of the ditch with towing the trailer it pushing me. Where it wanted to go it was going.

I would love a fork brace that is a fact only one problem it gets rid of some chrome and me and chrome are best friends just can not get past that in my head. It is a mind set and I know what you do is very high quality and would love one but no one can get the chrome thing out of my head no one.

MarkinFairfax here on the forum sent me photos this week of his red 2012 Nomad. He painted the fork brace and installed polished shrouds to protect the fork tubes. It all looks pretty and shiny to me. Hopefully Mark will chime in and share his creativity.

https://www.superbrightleds.com/vehicle/

Company is called Superbrightled.com and if you punch in your model of vehicle it will give you listing for every bulb that car or bike has in it in the LED model type. Fast service and really packaged well. I love it the bulb in mine is called H4-HLV4-M part number. 7200 k Cree cool white with 12 LED lights and priced at in Canadian dollars $34.95. Nice bulb and you should also get with the bulb a load resistor to compensate for low draw on voltage so it will not set off any sensor in the bike.

Now the driving lights if you want that which again are very bright and you can find them on ebay or amazon. They are much about 60 percent brighter than a standard led replacement bulb in the lights and again are pure white.

I should also say I received my windshield from Cee Bailey they are aircraft grade material and have a much better polished edge on them and are an exact fit for my bike. I choose a slight grey to mine you can hardly see it and this takes away a glare on the sheild. It is a much higher grade material than factory I would say just slightly thicker also. It sure is a beautiful windshield I would say much better than I have seen on other bikes.

Ok the trailer is in as new condition really and has just about full option package on it. Listed below are the options. It has LED light package and I will take all wiring off my bike and supply it to who ever buys the trailer. Now that is about a $200.00 option in itself as I have on the bike a package that does not draw the power from your signal lights or brake or running lights etc. It draws the power out of the charging system or battery. It does not put strain on the small wires that the bikes have. It is fused.

I also have a cigarette plug in trailer that is wired to the hitch electrical system and that you can charge anything by USB or cigarette lighter. Works like a dam and I have extra cable so when your parked you do not need to back in just hook the cable up to bike. Nice for movies portable DVD player or charging anything. The battery is large on these bikes have never worn it down but I do carry one of the portable battery charging packs also just in case. I will sell most camping gear with the trailer. Ok here goes on the goodies and the trailer cost me over $7000.00 two years ago.

swival trailer hitch
heavy duty spray fibre glass on floor or roof
front pod
underneath pod
awning
inside pockets two small one large
outdoor mat
mattress
wide tires and spare and spare rack
wheel covers that I have never put on
coleman USB lantern with rechargeble battery

All for $5800.00 no dickering no discount on price and do not ask for one it is firm. Trailer is 2 years old now. 2015 model.

Check your email for my number and here is video on trailer also.

It is neatest tent trailer out there as you can see by video which says more than words or pictures

More new parts

Here is some pictures of the new parts. New driving lights with LED lights installed in them. New headlight bucket with LED headlight bulb installed. 4 oz of beads for the new Michelin Commander 2 tires, new mirrors, and in the bags are new front crash bars. New CeeBailery aircraft grade windshield and wow am I sure impressed with the quality in this shield far better than factory. This has a slight tint to grey in it but you can hardly notice it. That is a pile of money about $1800.00 so far and more to come.

It will look awesome and be better than it ever was when done in the spring.

Well needed a new helmet from accident as old one is shot. So I bit the bullet and bought another Nolan helmet a N91 as I had the Nolan sound system from old helmet. Got to love this one for sure as is very different from allot out there.

Sorry I said it was an N41 but actually it is a N91 Nolan roughly about 400 bucks Canadian.
