I added a set of these to my mirrors after putting a set of Phat II risers on. It moved the mirrors out and up some.

Thanks Work4crown, had it a little over 10 years, and it still puts a big smile on my face every time I start down the road on it.

Okay...I had a serious case of dumbassitis. Look it up..it's a real condition. I just picked up the bike from getting new sneakers.....I now see how to rotate the controls...and the mirror bases. All rotated and life is good again.

They are bigger and may be what will work for you.
They have a nut on the back as well as on the stem and are very adjustable.
I have my bars on risers and tilted down and these work for me.
I forget where in NY you are but I am near Rome and we could probably meet so you could check the position of my bars and mirrors.

I bought a set of these mirrors...so I thought. I didn't pay close enough attention to the description and ended up getting a set meant for a Yamaha. One of the mirrors has a left-handed thread so I can't use it. At $20 it's not a big loss but now I have to get another set. I guess one good thing is that I will have a spare.

Well that sucks.
I didn't know Yamaha had reversed threads.

If it's got a left handed thread send it back. It says they're for Honda, Kawasaki, and Suzuki with a standard 10mm thread.

Correct. I got it from a different Amazon seller because the original one was sold out.

Here is the set I bought: http://www.amazon.com/Emgo-Universal...X2DGV99CQVAPZR

I thought that universal actually meant universal. I had no idea some bikes had left-handed threads.

You would think universal ment just that
I wonder what the thinking behind a reverse thread on one of the mirrors is
