Power commander compatability

Will a Power Commander for a 1600 Meanstreak be okay to install on our 1600 Nomads?

Power commander compatability

The part number for the Nomad is 220-411EX
The part number for the Meanstreak is 215-411EX
I used the model year 2006 through 2008. Based on different part numbers I would think they wouldn't be compatable.

Essentially they have the same engine though?

If it's plug and play it may not match up. If it's wire in, then yes it will work.

I have a Cobra for a Classic 1600 on a Nomad 1500 with a transplanted 1600 and it works just fine. And the 1500 Nomad Cobra worked with the 1600 until I fried it.

You'll likely have to play with the maps a little bit.

You could cut the plugs of and do hardwire connections, then it should work, but why not get the plug and play PC. It would save a pile of work.

I've just come across a PCIII for a meanstreak for cheap and was considering buying it.

Jared, there really shouldn't be any reason why it wouldn't plug directly in.

The TFI plug and play I bought worked for all FI 1500/1600 V-Twin Kawasakis.

But who knows, after plugging your in the saddlebags and fairing might just disappear??
