I day ride for me too. Leaving in an hour or so.

Riding along the Columbia River gorge for about 4 hrs then meeting up with a few bikes in Richland, WA to finish the last 3-4 hours into Orifino. Cheers!

Yesterday I enjoyed a really great ride from Boise to Orofino. I had never been north of Boise before, so this was all new to me. My route took me along the Payette, Salmon and Clearwater rivers and through varying terrain from alpine, desert and prairie. I logged 267.6 miles to make my total for this trip 1328.3 miles. The Best Western Plus Lodge at River's Edge is superb, and I dare say it's the nicest rally venue I have been to yet. Here's a picture from my second floor balcony of the Clearwater river.

I am in Bozeman MT this evening. Bill, Cliff, Grant and Melanie and Dave and I rolled out of Orofino this morning, Dave and I continued on to Lolo MT after the others bailed just before Lolo Pass. Dave and I parted company in Lolo and I continued on to Missoula and Butte. I covered 392.6 miles today, which brings my grand total for the trip to 1886.1 miles. Tomorrow I head for Salt Lake City.

Stopped in Bozeman for the night. Saw Bob Whitman go by during one of our stops. Saw Dave go by also. Saw Scott as we pulled in across the street from him.

Left Bozeman this morning a little past 0700. It was about 50 degrees. Headed south on 191 toward Yellowstone park. It was 30 degrees for about 50 milles through the mountains. Went through Island Park Idaho, where we used to spend vacations when I was a kid. Arrived in Salt Lake City just after 3:00pm. 429.0 miles today and 2321.5 for the trip. I'll be here 2 nights.

50 and 30 degrees sounds nice right about how.

I too want to thank all those who had a hand in making the rally a success. Well done!

This was my first but won't be my last.

30 degrees was a tad too chilly. My back hurt from shivering.

I'm certain when eastbound Friday I tucked in behind a group of ours for part of the Lolo, because I think it was Scotts purple HD in the group. Not too many of those, right? Thanks to all that helped set this rally up and to those that made sure everything clicked when we were there. It was a great location and a lot of fun.
