motorcyclist hurt
Between texting, cell phones and lack of respect the traffic is unbelievable. Must of been 1/2 dozen bike accidents over the weekend.

Your best defense is yourself. Don't let your guard down.

This guy was really lucky not to be hurt more than he was. Just wish the cagers would pay more attention. We have all got to be careful when we are on our bike. Ride safely.

Riding is so much more intense now. Back in the 50s and 60s all we had to worry about were the cagers who hated bikes and would cut you off, nowadays drivers have so many distractions you have to almost expect them all to do something stupid.

I have seen enough bikers doing dumb things too - you can avoid a lot of grief by not speeding and by keeping your head on a helmeted swivel looking out for problems. The several wrecks we have had here locally have been bikes going way too fast and losing control. When you are riding and you run out of talent, things can go bad pretty quickly. Be careful out there!

My view is everyone to include other riders are all trying to kill me. Then there are people who drive that don't think driving is fun or bother to have skills.
Where i live fools tie canoes on with string, or carry items like sheet rock not lashed down well on factory roof racks. Always check crap tied on vehicals from a distance. I also check tires on every big rig before I get close enough to pass. Always leave a away out. Never pull up to a stop light with out a way out. I avoid riding right up to a light to stop, since a moving target is harder to hit that one that isn't moving.

No, they are trying to kill me. I see them look right at me and then pull into my lane. Since I take up space in time, I am pretty sure 2 vehicals can't share that space at the same time.

I have to agree with Mac because I have also had instances where the driver looked directly at me and made eye contact with me and still chose to be a bully.

I find that the more space you allow other drivers to be stupid, the more time you have to react to their stupidity. Space is good and their stupidity is frequently apparent. The dull woman in the minivan with a cigarette in one hand and a cellphone in the other hand who yesterday went from following a breadtruck at 50 mph on the 4 lane highway to deciding to pass him after I passed both of them (apparently she looked up from her phone and decided to go faster when I passed her) just jerked into the left lane with no signal and gunned it, blowing past me at probably 75 in the 55 zone and right past the cop on the Harley who ws on her butt in no time flat, That cheered me up a bit.
