What...that fancy bike does not have factory heated seat and grips?

I rode out early AM Friday alone backtracking up hwy 95. Outside of Plummer, WA I came across a huge line of bikes heading south to don't know where. Just before Chewelah, WA I took a bird strike on the side of the helmet. With some ringing in my ear, I changed the messed up shirt, changed helmets and continued.

After crossing the border I stayed in Greenwood, BC. They have the best coffee shop here. I think Copper Eagle. Next day I caught another bird strike off the headlight on Anarchist Mountain that took out the low beam and cracked the right lower.

Washed the bike this morning and found a wing jammed between the headlight and the fairing. GROSS! Ditto the outside of the Scorpion helmet. 2,415 miles over very good roads. Except for the birds and the hail deep in the Rattlesnake Grade, it was uneventful.

Great rally. Incredible location and well organized. Thanks to all who contributed

Wow...2 bird strikes on one trip. What are the odds?
Glad it only resulted in a clean up job. Welcome home it was great to see you again.

Rode from Salt Lake City to Flagstaff today. Overcast for most of the way and caught a few raindrops in central Utah. It was about 90 degrees in Kanab but dropped to about 45 as I went up the kaibab plateau and poured rain. I got soaked, but after I went down the other side I dried off in a few miles. Lots of traffic stoppages for road construction today. 499.7 miles and that brings my grand total for the trip to 2889.8.

Jim,
Would you rather ride home to Phoenix in the morning or the afternoon this time of year? I usually stay somewhere 150-200 miles from home and get home in the morning before the valley really heats up.

I usually ride home in the afternoon, but it's only 21 miles.
