getting old....er

If you were lucky enough to attend the finger lakes rally you would of known that I had a hell of a time walking because of one of my three legs

Well, this all started in the beginning of June from sitting on the floor. After several weeks of limping and a couple months of swelling and stiffness, I had an MRI on my left leg (knee). The MRI showed that I have torn cartledge and arthritis. I have a follow-up appointment on 10/8/09 the day before I leave for PA elk country and nice roads.
I would think I'll be on sick leave this winter, again, Damn ;) Last year when I had surgery on my shoulder I had to much time on my hands and I bought Chips a new bike. Who knows what I'll buy this time.
I only have 140 sick days to use up in less then two years before I can retire :-/

Hopefully the doc will do a great job and you can recuperate at a good fishin spot for a few weeks.

Getting old sucks but dieing young is worse. ;)
Good luck with the surgery Fish, just make sure you follow the Doctors orders so you heal correctly.
If I were Chips I would be thinking real hard about what I wanted for a present this time around

Hey Fish, Bummer about the knee. Really sucks.. Been there done that.. Do you remember how I walked in NY? I had a Total knee replacement that Jan..I wasnt 100% but not bad,, FYI doing the PT after surgery is PRI 1... Good luck,,,,,,,,,,Rich

Your knee will feel a lot better if you use up some of those sick days, especially letting it rest while holding a rod.

You have around seven months of time saved up, you should be able to fill the freezer before you retire easily.
