Hi folks..
Just signed up. I am thinking of a larger bike in the long run than my current Suzuki C50T cruiser, which is 800 CC.....The Nomad seems to have a good following, has good durability and so it is on my short list. I have no schedule for when I mght do this..When I do, it will be a late model used one, for price reasons. I live in Gastonia, NC (20 minutes west of Charlotte, NC)..I am 73 years old and have been biking since June 2008, after a layoff since 1951, when pal let me ride his Harley 125... The missus is in the rest home for life resulting from a stroke..she can't speak or walk or even stand....I bike mostly very close to home.....It is a wonderful diversion from the day to day caregiving responsibilities. Of especial interest to me is to be able to ride without lower back pain, which is something I am experiencing on my current bike with a stock seat, and am slowly adding stuff to try and cope with it...the pain has subsided a lot in the past two weeks due to mods I made. Best wishes, Old Bob

Congrats for getting back out there Bob....it's nice to still feel alive, eh? Welcome from the great Pacific NW and you would love the Nomad if/when you get one... ;).

Bob, welcome to the forum. By the way, we have a good contingent of "mature" riders here. Some of the younger kids like to refer to us as "those old farts."
Hope that you decide on the Nomad. In my opinion it's the best bang for the buck!

Good for you Bob to be back riding, the Nomad is a great bike but remember it is a large heavy bike, I am 10 years younger than you and sometimes it is a hand full for me. Any way good luck to you and take care of your self.

Hi Bob! I'm coming off the same bike and got a used one too! Same lower back issues, except I'm 41... The Nomad is a Cadillac in comparison to the Volusia, or Boulevard, which I loved, until I rode the Nomad! ;)

Welcome Bob! I'm about a few rock throws from you here in East Bend. If you get a set of risers, you gonna love that Nomad!
