Vullcan 88 oil screen plug broken

I was changing oil in my 95 Vulcan 88 and the oil screen plug snapped leaving the treaded section in the bike. Any ideas how to get it out? all help appreciated!

My first thought is to try an E-Z out.

cut it out with a Dremel? Stick something (like an EasyOut) in it and turn it out?

You should be able to tap it out gently with a hammer & punch, that would be my first shot at removing it.

..I'm not familiar with the oil screen plug on a 95 Vulcan...But if it broke without leaving anything but the threaded part...you might just try turning it with your fingers (push in a bit to overcome the oil screen spring)...

I once twisted off a valve train mounting bolt, on a Ford V8 302 (yea I was trying to quiet a lifter on a 1978 302...when I broke the bolt it occurred to me it was "non adjustable")...A mechanic arrived from a nearby repair shop, from where I summoned him.. to drill out the stub..He looked at the 1/8th inch spike sticking up on one side of the broken bolt...reached in and unscrewed the bolt with his two fingers...Man was I Embarrassed !
..Seems FoMoCo, had assembled thousands of 302 V8's in 1978 with no valve guides..when the assy line ran out of guides...so they just kept on assembling engines..making all those 302's sound like a typewriter class going down the road !..they finally "fessed-up" at Ely Ford, in Ely Nevada..and did a full head exchange under warranty.!
