Rain Suit?

After this past weekend I think I need a new rain suit. What brand do you like the most? Is the Frog Toggs or the Tourmaster better? My suit is the thick rubber material (Technic) and it takes up a lot of space and it has developed some leaks in the seams. It looks like a Frogg Toggs would roll up tighter and I here they are pretty good. I want a good all around suit that will block the wind and keep you dry. ???

Rain Suit?

Not sure about those 2 type you listed. I just got a suit off of ebay. It was cheap and does the job. Pluss it has the reflective strips and is bright orange. Perfect for Pacific Northwest rainy days.

Rain Suit?

I have a rainsuit I bought at Cycle Gear. The brand is Moto Boss, I've never used it. My only gripe is it's not very compact. I got it on sale, though.

Rain Suit?

I have the Tourmaster Elite II with nomex panels. It works well in heavy rain and with the yellow panels is very visible. The only thing I don't like is the bulk. It takes up over twice the storage space that my wife's original Elite takes.

Rain Suit?

I have Wal-Mart special special, $27. Works well except for the fact it billows up and makes me look fatter.

Rain Suit?

I use the frog togs, we got them one size lager so we can still wear our leather and slip into them easy enough. they have done a great job my wife likes the way it keeps the wind off her. the only thing is I need to find something to keep them a little tighter around the boots. other then that the price was good and the packing size is very good they take up amost no room at all
ride safe.

Rain Suit?

I like Frogg Toggs. It is very compact and 100% waterproof.(we tested them before riding)
They do need to make a motorcycle specific suit though, I worry about it melting on the right leg around the pipes.

Rain Suit?

I wear a frogg Toggs. Bought it at Acaedmy (the classic) I bought the heavier one for about $80.00. Does a great job for rain, and wind. The leg zipper doesn't come up high enough to make it real easy to put on. It is made to fit over clothes so I made the mistake of buying a size larger and wish I hadn't. I bought the heavier one as I had read posts a couple years back that the lighter material isn't designed for high winds and will eventually come apart and leak at the seams. They do breath really well.

Frogg Toggs does make one for motorcycles, and is very compact. It has an air vent on the jacket in the back with a rain flap to keep from bellowing up. To protect the melting just get a ironing board cover, and some heat stiching and iron on a piece of it to the inner leg of the pants and no more melting. You can't do that with the PVC.

I tried the PVC, they are more compact but don't breath and have that awful smell of PVC that sticks to you when it is warm. I have used my frogg toggs down to about 45 degrees with a lightweight jacket underneath and I was very comfortable.

Rain Suit?

I have the frog toggs I have owned them for about 4 years, burnt a hole in left leg the first time I wore them. There was a lady selling frog toggs at the bike rally I was going to and I told her about burning a hole in mine, she also sold the patch kit but when I asked her about the price she told me it is cheaper to buy a ironing board cover and just make my on patch. What I like about them the most is your riding in the rain and you are dry but when the sun comes out you don't have to stop and get out of them like you do the pvc which gets very hot fast down here in the south, with the toggs you just keep riding until you know it is not going to rain any more then you can stop and take them off.

Rain Suit?

I purchased the Tourmaster Defender 2 piece rainsuit. It's light, compact and keeps me dry. It does not have nomex on the leg so you have to be careful by the exhaust.
