How too sig picture and avatar

Ok folks in know some what enough about computers, but i'vebeen trying to get my avatar of my bike and add sig picture to the main message with no results. Is there anyone out there that can answer my question and instruct me on HOW this is done. DO you need to be a paying memeber ???

Hi Chris,
I just got your email at home and then saw your post here. Here's what you need to do:

1. Place the pic you want to use for an avatar on the web somewhere like photobucket or someplace where you can link to it. Proboards will not allow you to upload a pic, so just find a place to put it on the web. If you can't place it somewhere, let me know. I probably have space on my website.
2. Log into this forum and go to PROFILE at the top menu and MODIFY PROFILE to edit your profile. In your profile will be an avatar area where you can put the link to your pic and you can add text to the bottom of your avatar and at the bottom of your posts. There is an area where you can put the size of your avatar...input 100 for both width and height.
3. When you are finished, click on the MODIFY button at the bottom that will save everything.

Hi Chris.... I'm not an expert.... but I finally did it. No... you don't have to be a paying memeber... although if you want to send money to Trip.... I'm sure he'd be cool with it. I can use some too!

Go to Photobucket.com..... create an account.. it's free. Upload your pics there. Then go to your profile on KawaNOW and copy the pic URL to the avatar section.

Combat Chef.....I went into your profile and set the pic up to display, but there seems to be no pic at that link.

I can setup a sig area off the Kawanow website and allow anyone to send me their pic and I'll post it there for them. Let me know if you would like to do this and I'll set it up for you.

zoom45....yes, set your avatar pic to 100 pixels both width and height. As far as a pic for the footer of your posts, you can set that a little larger, but not much.

ok I guess i am more computer illiterate than I thought how are yall getting pics in your sig line. I got the avatar but not the one in the sig line a little help for the computer impaired guy please.

Just slip the url under your sig :) Nice skink btw

Oh yeah... be sure to shrink it down to Avatar size first... when I first did it, my sig pic came up full page! lol
