Your Nomad Dyno results?

Ok i see that we dont have a thread here or a sticky thread(permanant) about folks dyno results. I think it's helpful to others to compare how well there bike did to other nomads with the same year, etc. Below is a pic of my dyno results from about two months ago.

I have the V&H Classic Baggers II and the BAK (Barons air Kit) and a PCIII installed and here is what I got out of it. My bike runs pretty darn good now . I may have to do some very very minor tweaking down the road but so far so good. What are your Dyno results and post them here if you can. Take care and rise safe all.

Chuck

This may sound ignorant, but can you explain this a little for those of us who have not had this done to our bikes?

Hey not even a problem. The Blue line is what my base reading was when they first hook it up and started the dyno process. the second line (Red) is what they got it too and set it at and as you can see I gained in HP and torque by doing this dyno. My bike has way more throttle response and now she rides like she is on rails (Fast). Base was 65.58HP, Now I have 68.86HP and my torque rating was 85.27 now I have 88.11 so I did increase it by a little bit but it's enough to really feel the difference
Now the lower chart shows my fuel/air mixture ratio this is very important. Because you can work with this to decide If you dont care about gas milage and all you want is power!!! You can set it up to be real fast and not so good at miles per gallon (30 and under) or you can do what I did and have it setup to have the power but give me some ok miles per gallon (Im currently at 35-37 MPG hwy) Now the trick is to get there A/F red line to be as straight as possiable and as you can see they pretty much got me there. The stright line says you have a perfect air/fuel ratio. If you get lines that look like heart arithmia's then thats not good...... My buddy next door has a stock 07 nomad and he gets so pissed when we ride becasue he says to me when we are out riding that he will have his bike pegged at full throttle and I'm still pulling away from him at about 85-90% my throttle. He rode my bike the other day and all he said to his wife when he got back was i have to have those mods Chucks has becasue he bike is nothing like my nomad in power. So I hope that helps you out. If anyone has any questions please feel free and ask! ;)

Thank you VC. I really appreciate that explanation and this confirms that I will be buying the PC III and later a hypercharger.

As for you BD...

If your bike is stock, don't bother as it's meaningless to know how much power it makes. Ride it, maintain it, and have fun. If you modify the exhaust and air filter, then it usually helps to get some dyno time to fine tune the ECM spoofer.

Ok BD, you're so damn smart, you explain what an ECM spoofer is and why it needs to be fine tuned. Class, just BD, no one else...for now.
