Has anyone used a helmet cam and if so, what kind did you use?

Kawgirl,

Trip is the videographer here. He will most likely have the answers your looking for. If you have not been over to his main site I highly suggest it. He has some awesome videos of rides he and some others have taken.

It's cool to see if you haven't been there yet.

Regards,

Stewart

I'm looking into a helmet cam like we use for fire training. It is water/heat resistant ( legal folks say they cant call it water proof). These are cylindrical and will take two hours of video with sound. The only issue it seems will be finding a suitable mounting arrangement on the bike. I'll get the details on Mfr and drop it in this forum when I get back on my own machine on Friday.

Thanks for the replies guys. Yes, I have seen Trip's other site. That's how I found this one. I have made a camera mount per instructions on Gadget's page for my digital camera which will take video, but I am interested in a video camera outside of that. I saw the Oregon Scientific ATC2K Helmet Cam on Ebay but wasn't sure about it. Just thought I would ask here and see if others have used any.

I happen to have the Oregon Scientific but have not used it yet. I'll keep you posted when I finally get some time to try it out.
