Search for Nice Used Nomad Ended Today

I'm the new guy that has been keeping you fellows updated with my trials and tribulations experienced in my search for a good used Nomad. Well all I can tell you is that I was in the right place at the right time and the heavens rained down on me this afternoon about 2:00 pm!!

I'm out of town on business (about 100 miles from where I live) and I meet my cousin for a late lunch at his favorite restaurant. We're gabbing away and he asks me about the sale of my Harley and then asks what I plan to replace it with. I proceed to tell him that I am looking for a Nomad. He then to tells me that he was volunteering the other day for a local charity that takes donations of furniture and delivers the items to people in need. He says that he was over at this older fellows place the other day picking up a donation and meets the fellow out in his garage to load up this old kitchen table and chairs. He says that he sees this real nice black Nomad sitting there and he asks the guy if he enjoys the bike.

The old guy proceeds to tell him that he doesn't feel as young as he used to and that he really should sell the bike. He then proceeds to tell me how nice this bike looks and that he thought it was brand new. The old guy tells him it is a 2006 and my cousin could not believe the shape it was in.

I'm sitting there dumbfounded thinking that him and my wife had planned this out and that it was a prank. So I says to him do you think we could go look at it and he tells me that the fellow lived in the neighborhood right behind the restaurant. Now I'm getting real suspicious and he says that the old guy was a real nice feller and that he probably wouldn't mind if we dropped by to see it.

Long story short I am now the owner of a 2006 Black Nomad 1600!!

I know I said I was looking for a 1500 but once I was on the bike it did not feel as monstrous as it looked. Anyways the deal gets completed Saturday morning when I show up with the rest of the cash and we take her over for the safety inspection (which should be a breeze as the bike is unbelievably pristeen)!!

Thanks for all your support and advice over the last couple of week.

Congrats on the new ride! If you don't mind me asking, what made you decide on the Nomad? I know why I picked it, but I'm just curious why you did.
