ND Patriot Gaurd Ride

I rode in the North Dakota Patriot Guard Fallen Heroes Memorial and Honor Run today.

It was a beautiful day for a ride. Over 220 riders were signed up, at least 150 motorcycles. We got in a 135 mile ride. We rode from Dickinson, ND to Belfield, ND via I-94 east, then to New England, ND via Hwy 85 and Hwy 21, then to Regent, ND via Hwy 21, then back to Dickinson via the Enchanted Highway and I-94 west.

Unfortunately we made 3 stops at bars along the way. One group of bikes left before all the other bikes from the first bar stop and they must have been pushing it hard. A gal that was riding with them put her bike in the ditch. It happened in a spot that has a curve in the road just as you crest the hill. I'm guessing she caught the edge of the road (no shoulder) trying to take the corner and got sucked in. There were no skid marks on the highway, so I'm guessing she tried to ride it out before getting sucked into the ditch. She did get knocked out, but sounds like she will be ok. Just some scrapes and bruises.

Probably would have been a good idea to bring the camera to get some pics. Guess I'll have to do it again next year.

Those rides are a great thing. Not so sure about the bars though.

I'm with you on no drinkin when riding. I'm a member of the American Legion and the reason I'm not a member of the Legion Riders is they ride from Legion to Legion and they all drink when they are there.

So instead I'm a member of Rolling Thunder Indiana chapter 7. They don't drink and ride in that Chapter.

The majority that drink and ride or drive think they can do it without any problem. What they don't realize is their abilities are impaired and they don't even realize it.

I'm happy you drink, wouldn't want you to go thristy. :)
Keeping hydrated is very important in the climate you live in.
I was referring to alcohol products, everyone knows that alcohol will not hydrate as well as water.
I'm happy you eat, I wouldn't want you to go hungry. ;)
