Man is that the truth. We have a female senator who did just that. Word is she commited political suicide in a conservative state. Hopefully she will be gone not in 2010 but in 2012.

Very true statement. My oldest was studying poli-sci in college, got very discouraged by what he saw and ended up changing majors. I told him it is whoever has the deepest pockets is who the elected officials listen to the closest. Doesn't matter what Idaho the Jack Adaptor Man thinks, or CoachA, just what Mr. PAC says we need. He is now truly enlightened.

I do believe the Senator from Montana (I am almost sure... if not it is Wyoming) just sold his vote to the DEMS for the health-care bill in exchange for Federal aid to his state in perpetuity for Medicare and Medicaid costs the state will incur. That means "forever" the remaining 49 states will carry their burden.

This IS exactly what the sign above relates to.

I can only hope his state has some moral decency and hangs him from tree.

I think he was from Nebraska. Also one of the Senators from Louisiana got a bunch of money for her state in return for her vote.

Sad to say, but that's just business as normal for Senators and Representatives. :(" title="" border="0"/> :(" title="" border="0"/>

No thinking here Greg. It was Sen. Ben Nelson from Nebraska. The Govenor says that he will not accept it because he feels that it is unfair and unconsitutional. I think that good old Ben has committed political sucide with this one.

Yup and he is from Nebraska. The Govenor from there wants to give it back.

Unless there is a republican who has also just now voted and that would be 61 votes...

The chosen one wants to go to Honolulu for ????? Christmass?

Thanks for the correction guys... I wasn't sure; but knew something fishy happened that was just down right wrong in so many ways.

Like Senator John McCain said on the senate floor yesterday. "There was the Louisiana Purchase...and now we have the Cornhusker Kickback".

Very unconstitutional to make federal law that is not equal among ALL states. There will be a revolt of magnanimous proportions come Nov. 2010. Any Congressman or Senator who votes for final passage of this sham of a bill is committing political suicide. It has not one thing to do with health care reform and everything to do about adding to an already bloated government...tax increases and all. Maybe we should just give our whole paycheck to Obama and hope in return for a small allowance.... :(" title="" border="0"/>.

If this is such a great bill....why do the Dems have to bribe other Dems to vote for it? And if it is so important to our country....why does it have to happen right this very second? We all know the answer to that one. The more time that passes, the more people will read what's in it and want to puke.

Shameless, greedy, treasonous pimps barely begins to describe the bottom feeders who took an oath to serve their constituents, but in return only give the folks at home the proverbial finger and do what they please.

The brave men who founded this country bolted from the King's rule for far less government intrusion than is upon us now. Another revolution is coming at the polls this fall, and the Dems will have only their selfish selves to blame for it. Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi make me want to gag, and their horrendous (bordering on criminal) strong-arm tactics to ram this piece-of-sh*t bill down our throats will come back to haunt everyone who calls themselves an American.

Now....ask me what I really think.....and I ain't even from the south... !

That would be the queen Senator Mary Landrieu. She is the daughter of a New Orleans two term mayor and the sister of our Lieutenant Governor Mitch Landrieu. Not surprisingly, he has thrown his hat into the New Orleans mayoral race and will no doubt win. It's all part of the political machine that goes back for many years. I'd bet that our Governor Bobby Jindal is hoping he wins that New Orleans race for mayor so he will be rid of him. I've always been concerned that he would take over our state should something happen to Bobby. As I stated in my previous post, Ms Landrieu committed political suicide when she as one of the last 2 holdouts ended up supporting moving the health care bill forward. She could have stopped it but owed it to her block vote of lazy welfare abusers in New Orleans to push it through. Too bad for her that many of those bums are still displaced in other states since Katrina and won't be able to vote her in. I send her and Senator Vitter emails voicing my opinion on controversial pending bills and never get a reply from her. Vitter always replies with a signed and mailed letter. Hopefully she has 3 years left to serve and will then be finished. That's our prayer.
